how to replace o2 sencor in a v6 3.3 chrysler

depends if it is the upper or lower sensor. Generally it is the upper - I have done 3 of these on the two minivans i have owned and it is a little tedious but definitely doable. First you will need a O2 sensor socket, a long extension for your wrench, possibly some PB blaster a hammer and anti-seize and about 1 to 2 hours. Look over the top of your engine, and follow the exhaust pipe down (visually) until you see what looks like a spark plug sticking up, with wires coming off of it (this is it). First thing you want to do is to disconnect the wiring. Take your O2 socket and reach down with your hand to put it into place. insert the extension bar onto the socket, then attach the wrench. Try giving it some force to loosen up. (remember it has been exposed to the elements & heat and may be seized into place). IF after a few tries it does not budge, use the PB blaster, and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Get the socket & extension back into place and use a hammer to tap the extension to help break up some of the rust, etc, that may be there. After doing this, it should loosen right up and come out. IF your still having problems getting it out, try a little more PB blaster and letting it sit again, then retry loosening it. Before inserting the new O2 sensor, be sure to apply a little anti-seize to the threads, then just screw it into place; and be sure to lock it down good, but do not over tighten it. reattach connection and your done.!! Start the engine, and give the computer time to adjust to the new sensor, it usually takes about 30 minutes of driving for this to happen. I try to use a 1/4 tank of premium gas and driving for everything to reset and then it is all good from there..
