Dodge Grand Caravan 2007 battery drains

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery drains in 5, 3 or 1 day, or sometimes after 2 weeks for no
apparent reason. I have a brand new battery, the alternator measures OK.
Even have a gizmo tool that measures the alternator all the time, and the
voltage and or drain/charging, it reports green LED's, meaning that it is OK.
My car runs well and the only problem I have is the sliding door behind the
driver, it is electric door, pops open, but does not slide open, I must open it
the rest of the way manually. I also must close it manually, and at the end, I
can hear the electric motor close the door  to flush with the body of the van.
Could this cause my intermittent battery drain? Should I take it to Dodge
dealership or does anyone have some suggestions for me?

I have done that. Te voltage at the battery is 12.8V, when the car is running, everything is turned off but the radio, the voltage is 14.4V . The cables are like new, connectors are clean - I clean them 1x per year and I also use the spray, that protects the battery connection with a reddish stain - sorry, I do not know what material it is, but it comes made especially for coating the connectors. The ground wire is solid and clean, I have no rust or dirty engine or under the hood, engine compartment. I had Midas test stuff also for about 3.5 hrs and they also measured only 0.03mA at the most, while the car was turned off. The problem is that this isn't causing dead battery every morning, but sometimes a week, 5 days, 3 days or once in one night, the battery just drains! I'm open for more suggestions and thank you for the first suggestion! You all have a great day!

I just had that issue with my older 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan and found the solenoid to be culprit. Unfortunately, on my van I could not buy just the solenoid alone, because it's attached to the starter as one unit. So I had to purchase the starter/solenoid whole unit. It was draining my battery and it would die every couple of days. I hope this helps.
