Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced the distributor and cpi spider. Before I had to replace the distributor and cpi
spider. The fuel pump was replaced and I was only hitting on five of the six cylinders but
ran suprisingly well and idled smooth.

Backfiring thru intake not good on these. Plastic intakes. Blew a hole in one of mine one time. Did you ever spray starting fluid or gas directly into the intake? If so inspect intake for cracks. If not double check the dist, plug wires on correct plugs and timing.

Double and triple check your firing order and ignition timing
