This is a 21 year old car with very high miles. Drive it until if dies but don't drop any significant money on repairs or you will be sucked into a black hole of repair expenses.

I have been getting my 1999 LeSabre fixed the past two years. I got it from a friend, knowing some of the things it needed. I have spent about $1500. on all the repairs (not including parts, but I get those at big discounts using my old business acct). Yes, the car is old, but I find it cheaper to get repairs done than getting a new car. I guess it depends on what's wrong with the car. $500. is a good deal as long as you won't have a LOT of repairs. I've got the major things done and am happy with the car, except for now needing to get the ceiling replaced. : )
