My car keeps turning off, I got a new battery and alternater but it still keeps dying in the middle of me driving. What's wrong with my 93 caprice?

Sounds like your coil is becoming intermittent. Try replacing your coil.

Does it only shut off when you slow to a stop? If so could be bad or faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate. Also check all battery connections. Also check the negative battery cable to the frame and motor. They all must be clean and tight.

The HEI ignition module sounds bad, cheap and easy fix. Usually happens when the engine is warm. Replaced mine in my '86 Caprice and '92 CK 4x4 (died on me out of the blue).
