Black tube under Jeep Liberty?

Hi, I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty. What is the black tube
hanging down in the photo? It was not there a few days
ago. Can I fix this myself or is it serious enough that I
should take it to a mechanic? I have more photos if
needed.

That is hard to say. Trace it and find where it starts. It may be a drain tube.

it is just a vent tube... just secure it back up by the clip on the side of it...just pull the hose upword and clip it..
