Would you buy a Mitsubishi Elcipse, if so what year, and any problems should I try to avoid?

Asked by StAugustine904 Aug 30, 2014 at 09:00 AM about the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't keep up with car ratings.  I plan to keep my 2008 Pilot because I love it and
would not want to be without it.  So, I would not want a money pit or be able to put a lot
money into a second car that is just for fun.
Not interested in a convertible and been there done that with a manual transmission so
an automatic would be practical in stop & go traffic.

check the condition- have it checked by a mechanic- ignore this advice at your own risk-

Depends on what your wanting. Most Mitsubishi Eclipse's are great. But the 3rd generation had some issues and not the best after market support. I currently have a 07 Eclipse GT. I've loved the car. Only down side has been after market support is pretty lacking. So if your big into modding it's not the best. But it's super reliable and fun to drive.
