Leaking Coolant
Asked by Franklin Mar 03, 2018 at 10:18 AM about the 2002 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan FWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Ive noticed a slight coolant leak in my 2002
Buick LeSabre custom for a few months. But
a day after filling the resevoir, it was near
empty again. I checked it out underneath
while changing my oil and noticed coolant
was raining down from underneath the
water pump. There was no leaks from the
hoses. Im wondering if there is anything else
it could be besides the waterpump before i
make the attempt at changing it. I dont know
alot about cars so any help/opinions are
appreciated. I recorded a video but dont
know how to add it here. If you wanna see it
im on fbmsngr Franklin Chosa.
Thank You!

Also, ive noticed more white smoke than usual from the exhaust from time to time. Nothing leaking into the car either. Decided to add this after reading other posts..
Water pumps do go bad. Try to isolate the leak to the water pump.
Ok. Before i was gonna drive a little. I added some coolant to the near empty reservoir then started the car and looked around and noticed coolant pooling under this "elbow joint thing" im hoping this is all it is.

I've got an 03 lesabre and its leaking too. I changed out the elbows and its still leaking. Im thinking the water pump as well. Yet still wondering weather what else leaks in that same area near the ac condesor Up to the water pump.
