OBD Socket Issue?

Asked by Cwcallen76 May 04, 2018 at 07:05 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 k1500 4x4. I am having an issue reading my
CEL. I tried the paperclip trick and got nothing. I broke
down and got a GM OBD1 code key. I can read my ABS
code but nothing on my CEL. Once I clear codes and light
goes off it will read code 12 but not once  the CEL light is
back on...
