i lost tail lights and brake lights and when i hit brake pedal it sounds like i left the lights on all from a uhaul tow dolly?????

The lights come on when the brake peddle activates the switch in the cab. If they stay on, check the switch. I don't think the lights make any "sound", perhaps a poor use of working or punctuation? Anyway, did the truck come with a tow package or did u-hall hook it up? They may have wired it to a hot wire and you have electrical power all the time to the circuit. If you had a tow package, you may have a short in the plug-in. Disconnect the tow dolly and see it that fixes the problem. Squirt some WD-40 on the brake peddle switch to see if it is sticking. If that does not work, and u-hall tapped into the brake wiring, remove their handy work and see it the lights go out.
