What kind of issue am I looking at and is it an expensive one?

My X type 3.0 2004 heat won't blow hot and the defrost gets hot for just a sec then it gets
cold.

sounds like something wrong with the climate control system- you will learn to appreciate the good old days when we could get heat just by pulling a lever attached to a cable- that's why they are called "The Good Old Days"

Ive just bought a 2002 xtype 2.5 auto, chap said it had a slight coolent leak. however i went out this morning and found a small 6 inch round puddle of what i would say is fuel on the floor help 2 Answers

As above getting terrible mileage I know it wouldn't be great anyway but 3 small puddles of fuel on drive and twice today we could smell fuel in the car would it be the pump ?
