Pontiac 1986 GT: I replaced all 4 drums,all calipers, and discs. I also replaced the master cylinder and bled brakes. I still have about 2 inches in brake pedal before it starts to grab any ideas?.

When you turn the car on and go to put it in reverse all it wants to do is grind the gears and when you try to put it in the other gears it stops and don't go shift. What could be going on?
