Looking to possibly tow a 3,000# bass boat. Any problems?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am trying to find a vehicle with reasonable gas mileage that can still pull a 3,000# bass boat. 90% of all towing would be on almost level roadways. Will the 6 cylinder RAV4 handle this????

1 Answer

Yes, I think it could handle it. The max towing on the V6 Rav is 3500pds and you are a good 500pds under that. You may also want to look at the Chevrolet Equinox, the Ford Escape. Both have the same towing capacity but not as great with fuel economy.
