Wrench light illuminates occasionally on my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid with only 46,000 kim's. The car still drives perfectly, so it's probably sensor light??

I did & I know it's something to do with the throttle. Took car today to Ford dealership & they told me the score won't show the problem when wrench light is off. The wrench symbol comes on occasionally then goes out after car is turned off & re started.

I have a 2010 Ford Escape and the wrench light came on, stayed on when car was shut off and turned back on again after a minute, then was not on when I turned the car on again hours later. The engine also sounded loud but nothing happened when the light came on. Took it into be looked at and it was still under warranty and got replaced in one day

I just called my dealer and they said the extended throttle warranty was only 10 yr/150k mi for me... of course I'm at 11 yr (2009 model), 162k mi. Sounds like you'd be out of luck too.

My 2011 Escape Hybrid wrench light has come on for a year. 3 dealership can't figure it out. New radiator, fans, sensors. Now they want me to put a new transmission in for $13k. Vehicle is worth $6k.
