why does ac light blink

I was driving on a rainy day and it happened when I drove through a puddle that splashed water up into the engine compartment. I figure the belt slipped and the compressor couldn't do its job. I shut it off then back on and it's fine.

I changed the relay and changed out cabin filter but blinking light is still there. Any other things I need to check?

My ac light blinked also when it was raining and splashed through a puddle. I turned it off and then turned it back on and the light stopped blinking.
