can anyone tell me what would cause a tiking sound from the rear of my '01 explorer sport

when driving at low speeds there seems to be a tiking sound coming from the rear end

this may sound stupid,but check the back tires for a rock or something stuck in the tread of the tire,also it could be a bearing going bad.
