DISCUSSING: CAR COMPLETELY DEAD OUT OF
NOWHERE & KEY FOB DOOR LOCK WONT WORK.
CAR AND LOCK LIGHT (SECURITY DASH LIGHT).
GEAR DISPLAY DASH LIGHT (park reverse neutral).
BATTERY DASH LIGHT(red battery). PARASIDIC
POWER DRAW/DRAIN.
When having an issue with the battery light /the
security light /or the car being dead out of nowhere
COMPLETELY. it could be an electrical or a security
issue (Or key fob issue). Mine was an electrical
issue.
In the steering column, there are clusters of wires.
These wires are incredibly sensitive. They Connect
into the ignition switch. which connects to the
ignition cylinder. If these wires are tapped pushed
pulled or out of place even a hair's breadth, you can
have serious issues happn. If you have a FULL LOSS
OF POWER in the ENTIRE vehicle where even the
key fob door locks WON'T WORK in your vehicle. Or
If you experience a starting issue Where have to
turn key many times to make start. Or if u see The
security (car and a lock)dash light --the battery light
in the shift gear light (P R N D 1 2)come on in ur
vehicle . If this happens it can cause a parasitic
power draw. You need to check your battery output
as well as your alternator output, to check for this
(AutoZone will do this for free ).You can try fixing
this Yourself by adjusting the clusters of wires
SLIGHTLY underneath, inside your steering column.
Or you can take it to a mechanic that specializes in
electrical and have them adjusted correctly.
I had just replaced my alternator/my ignition
cylinder/ and my ignition switch and my car still
died. After that, I wondered why. until I found out
that these sensitive cables were right there. the
alternator and battery WERE BAD WHEN CHECKED
@ AutoZone...probably cuz the constant POWER
draw drain. So those DID need to be fixed anyhow. I
could not figure out where the parasitic draw was
coming from after that. Or why the battery light was
on on my Dash.. later, on came the security light too
lol. My own car thought I was breaking into it LOL
Adjusting the wires correctly and getting the ignition
switch in the correct position it made everything all
better and I have had no problems with it since
.Happy Days.
