Why won't my brake light in the dash go off

Check your brake fluid level. If it is low it will trip the sensor. Make sure your emergency brake is fully released. There is a sensor with a button on it. If the button isnt pushed in by the emergency brake actuator it thinks the e brake is on and illuminates the light. Also check that all the bulbs in the rear of the vehicle are functioning. Brakes, turn, running lights can all trip the brake light on the dash.
