2006 Chevy Trailblazer

Hi! I have a weird thing going on with my
truck.
All doors, windows closed, alarm usually
on....but my interior dome lights will come on,
stay on for a few minutes and then slowly go
off again. We have made sure nothing is left
on inside and that all doors, lift gate, and lift
gate window are fully closed. This is now
causing my brand new battery to die
overnight. Well, it may take 2 evenings to kill
it. There have been nights I see it, and won't
have a problem the next day. But there have
been days where I don't drive it the next day,
and then will try to start it the following
day...and it's dead.
I had a brand new battery, ignition switch, a
few fuses, and starter installed in March.
Where should I start looking? Fuses? Anyone
else with this issue?? Thanks!

Possible bad door switch. When you close all the doors is there a door open warning light on the dash?
If the light only comes on for a short time and goes off this would not be enough to drain the battery.
Hi Joni Lights will come on then go off slowly, it's normal. Have a parasitic draw test done to find the drain.
I know the lights come on and go off slowly when someone has entered or exited the vehicle. It's always done that. The issue is that it does it at random times when no one has entered or exited....like I will check the driveway as I'm locking my house doors at night....and I will notice my dome lights on....and no one has been near the truck. And I'll grab my keys, and watch....and the lights will go off slowly. It's not supposed to do that when the vehicle is locked and no one in or out for hours....correct? Ok I will have my mechanic check those things.
An interim fix would be to remove the dome light bulb until the actual problem is found.
Yes I could....however that is not the issue I'm concerned about. That alerted me to the fact that there is an issue somewhere.....I was wondering if anyone had had something similar happen....a bad switch for a door, lift gate, a fuse, a relay...that would cause the lights to come on and off, when nothing is opened, it is off and locked for several hours. Obviously something is causing my brand new battery to drain .....trying to figure out where to start checking.
