i have a 2005 yukon 4x4 with codes GU6 3.43 that is a locking rear end i want a non locking rear end which means a open diff can i do that switch from a locked to a open differential

Yes you can change out the differential to an open design but why would you?

G80 is the code your looking for. If you have the g80 code then you have a locker. If it's not there then you dont. Just go power brake it on a dirt road, you will either spin one wheel or 2.
