2007 Chevy silverado will not show oil pressure building, has oil and temp is normal, what could it be?

If truck is running cool and no tick,s or knock,s i would tend to say,bad oil pressure sending unit.

If sensor is good,could all so be your gauge it self.

Check the wire connection to the sending unit. Clean it and see if that works. If not the easier way and cheapest way it to replace the oil presser sensor. It is on the top passenger side rear of the engine. A 1- 1/16 deep socket is needed to remove and replace it. + Cost si between $20 to $48 for the sensor.
