Some Vibration every 10 miles
Asked by MMontoya Aug 04, 2015 at 08:06 PM about the 2008 Saturn VUE XR V6 AWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a Saturn Vue 2008 XR AWD. when I'm driving I feel a vibration under my feet,
which makes every 10 miles, exactly when the speedometer needle passes 10, 20 ....
50 miles, the vibration is slight but only makes when it goes speed it up slowly ...
every one of the changes makes them very good, not fall behind nor ahead ...it was
revised transmission with scanner and detected nothing .. but I think that something is
wrong ... . that's what I wonder.

When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid?

how many miles on the vehicle and have you had the transmission rebuilt yet? Remember this year vehicle has the faulty transmission that is covered until 120k miles by GM. Are you the original owner, therefore know the service history of the vehicle?
The vehicle has 92k miles, the transmission never been rebuilt. No I'm not the original owner. I only kwow the car fax history...

Alright, you are probably... going to be in luck then. On a warm day, say 70F or higher take the vehicle for a spin, warm it up pretty good, like get on the highway and drive at least 7 miles. Then pull off the highway into a flat parking lot and put the vehicle in park. Then shift the vehicle into reverse, if their is a slight hesitation and quite a jerk felt your wave plate is going/or has broken in half. If this is the case, bring it to a GM dealer and tell them you believe your waveplate is broken due to the symptoms I just gave you. They should check fluid color and most likely it will be darker in nature. Have them rebuild the transmission under Warranty policy 14404. You should also get a free loaner car while they perform the repair. Let us know the outcome.
