2008 Camry steering noise, hot waether

I have a 2008 Camry in which the steering is smooth and silent in cold, cool, and warm
weather. When the temperature is over 80F, it emits a series of quiet clicks and clunks
when turning, especially noticeable in tight, low speed maneuvers such as one would
perform in a parking lot or a K-turn.

Any suggestions as to what I might check?

Check your steering components and axles for play and evidence of grease.

Could be a bad boot on a CV axle. They're hard to spot sometimes, but you will see grease spots inside your rim, or splashed up under the car. How to check; jack up one front tire, turn steering wheel all the way to that side, put in neutral with parking brake on, turn wheel by hand and look for cracks in the rubber accordion as the axle turns.
