Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There was a flash of light like fuse had blown; all the  panel lights come on and all except the ETC  and Engine lights shut down,  The car will not start just a click and a sound like a solenoid shuts down.  The radio. clock and other electronic remain functional. I,m wondering what the problem is.

dont think you neeed an electronic throttle control systerm repair clock is not electronic, readio has nothing to do with engine running or dashboard lites , and a zany crazy bug has taken up residence in your dashboards automobile soul ! sounds more like the cold solder joints in the back of the display panel have lost ther conductiveness. some will sell you a computer for 2 or 3 grand but it wont help anymore than a throttle positioner or control system . i hadf a 2007 that died this way, but later i read about the dash display panel having crax inthe solder joints there are companies who repair these but ya gotta look hard for them will give you your money back if i am wrong ....and goo luk
