no relays, but there is an ignition module if we are desperate~
Any idea where ballast resistor is located?

No ballast resistor, but a control module as previously posted...we are kinda between different technologies and am thinkin' of previous years that did not have "Modules"....thousand apologies for leading us down the garden path there for a minute....you must understand these years are always a point of learning~ good luck on you new ignition module~

Get a NEW battery and clean the Negative terminal ground connection...yes that fat ole cable.....get that one clean at the connection to the car frame/chassis~ this is an important one for the controls etc, to not be runnin' with BROWN power...tho your battery may still turn the starter easily may be taxing the alternator because the battery cannot take a charge anymore~

frequently "RENEWED ground" will make persistent problems vanish~

No one likes NO GROUND available....electronics "cook themselves" with potential energy that's got no wheres to go~ that's why good grounding to all the components is so important...solid state electronics are a delicate affair and we tend to take them for granted....so make sure the frame has a clean area to accept the 1/0 battery cable and 300 Cold Cranking Amps have no problem goin' through that connection~

I'm sooooo sorry it took me a minute which ballfield I was playin' in, but I got it....and please clean that horrible big battery cable free of any corrosion to let the amperage through~ think we'll be in good shape....no nothing else needed at that point~
