If you put a vtech head do you have to change your pistons as well

Change the pistons- while you got the head off- while doing that, do the whole engine- are you just trying to save money? Make sure the tops of the pistons are indented and will clear the valves- when you get the head back on, and the timing belt on, turn the engine by hand, slowly- there should be no interference-
