My 2008 Prius starts without the fob, what causes this?

you are in good shape, this means you have a smart key and you only need the key fob in your pocket or purse to run the car. You should also be able to open your front doors and your hatch without the key in your hand. It is a great feature on the new cars, enjoy the fun and savings you can get with the Prius, I have 2 of them, an 08 and a13, we mostly get above 50 MPG
