Engine Swap Failure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I swaped my 2009 engine and transmission into a
2008 model, but the i cant get the engine to start,
the key turns and everything and all the electrical
fixutres work but the engine doesnt start. please
help.

The timing has to be right because the engine that we put was working. all we did was move the engine from a working but crashed car to the other one.

So, the engine cranks or it doesn't? Either way, it could have to do with the immobilizer/alarm system.
