Small backfiring like sound couple hundred feet after start. 2008 Nissan Sentra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2008 Nissan Sentra
After turning it on and putting it in drive a couple hundred feet down the road it makes
this sound like a small backfire that I can feel slightly through the gas pedal. I've had
two people look at it but they couldn't find anything.

The car also makes a slight grinding sound sometimes when I make slow turns.

Hi, Grinding on turn would most likely ne the outer CV joint. About the backfire, is the check engine light on?

No, the check engine light isn't on. And it only does it once. Then it's fine until a turn off the car again, but even if it's only off for 5 minutes it makes the sound again as soon as I turn it on and travel 100-200 feet. I also think it sounds as if it is idling harder than it used to, but I may just be hypersensitive since it's been having so many issues recently.

The "backfire" cause, without having access to the car, is hard to diagnose. It could be lean or rich fuel mixture, worn/bent valves or incorrectly adjusted. It could also be a timing issue. It's not an easy one, sorry.
