I had a similar issue and I just took the front 2 way bulb out and put it back in and then the sides and front starting working both ways. When I first installed a front and side bulb, the side quick blinked and the front did not work at all (but did before I changed the bulbs). Weird. The bulb could be in the wrong way too. Flip it around maybe.
