I have an 08 grand cherokee and want to know if it is 4wd or not.

Google "VIN decoder." (doesn't matter what site is hosting it, the code is the same for all of them). Punch in your VIN, the results will tell you if you have 4WD or not.

Just look under the front of the car to see if it has a front differential. There were four different 4wd systems available.
