Why would a 2008 Grabd Caravan 4.0L 50,000 miles odometer require a Rocker Arm Assembly replacement when the oil was replaced every 3,000 miles?.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The ticking noise I am being told is because of the wear on the lifters? Really? 50,000
miles? There must have been some cheap materials used to build this engine. this is
crazy.

You must ask your dealer and bring your maintenance records, they have engine info and bulletins about their problems. they can contact the engine plant. you must ask what they will do after 7 years at that mileage, what other instance is there of this concern? is there a parts update.?

If it is about time for a oil change leave out one quart of oil and add a bottle of Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer or if just had done remove one quart then add the ticking will go away I promise. I can make this promise because I have seen and heard this product work. My friends vehicle was ticking like a sewing machine changed his oil left out one quart added the Lucas and with in 30 - 45 minutes of idling the tick was gone.
its because Dodge builds lemons. my 2010 grand caravan sxt with the 4.0 had same issue. had to replace both rocker arm assemblies and 3 fuel injectors even though maintenance was done on time and never ran low on oil and the van only has 57,000 miles. Dodge is no help. since its out of warranty its my problem. will never, ever buy another chrysler/dodge product and i will make sure everyone I know hears about this lemon
