2008 won’t crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Helped son replace head gasket.  Vehicle started
and idled for about 10 min. Fans never came on. He
rev’d it to about 2500rpm. It died.

Now the coolant light is flashing blue and red and
the car won’t even crank.

Thoughts?

What happened when it died? Noises? Will it turn over? Check the timing belt and do a compression test.
