My 2006 V6 Sonata had a random problem starting around 4 years old. The lights came on but did not crank. The mechanics could not figure it out and after waiting from 5 minutes to over an hour it eventually started. Was not the battery, starter, wires, etc. Problem was never solved. Sometimes, trying to start in neutral or cycling from park to neutral worked but the problem got worse over time until I got rid of it. Good luck. It may be an interlock alintent issue in the shift.
