My daughters 2009 Saturn vu that we bought her for college used has 87000 miles and today will not go into reverse . We have had several oil leaks with it before it went out of warranty and now this.

Asked by Danasibley Mar 29, 2015 at 06:48 PM about the 2009 Saturn VUE XE V6 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I worked for a GM dealership for the past 14
years and recently took another job. When I
worked there they helped me out with
repairs and budgeting.  Now I am worried
this is going to be a huge repair. Any ideas
on what it may be? We are just outside of
warranty and this doesn't sit well with me.

Are you sure it is an XE, or is it an XR? If it has the 6T70 transmission, which is a 6 speed transmission, then just bring it into a GM dealer of your choice and it will be covered by the Special Policy that just opened up a couple weeks ago. They should give you a no charge loaner car and in a few days you should have your Vue back ready to go again.
