fluid coming out my transmission overflow

what causes tranny fluid to come out my overflow vent tube? heard it could be
1 of 3 thing.. tranny pump, flow of fluid an overheating. which i think that might
be it.. ran fine till i took it to the car wash an sprayed under the vehicle. getting
snow an dirt off an ever since ive been having problems.. change fluid an filter
an still doing it. anything to lead me in the right direction.. Thanks
