Car missing when gas gets around a quarter of a tank

I have a Altima 2009 2.5 S. When my gas
hand hits a quarter of a tank and Miles start
reading off till empty my car starts missing.
Is there a sensor that causes that or is that
trash in my tank . The last time it got that
low I filled it up and now it's misses every
now and again

try dry gas or octane booster on a highway trip , scan for codes even if the light ain't on and get the definitions

Might also be a problem with the EVAP system, do as BUC suggests and get trouble codes scanned, most parts places will do this as a free service.

Try using the higher octane gas that is if you use the low octane gas all the time.
