09 impreza suddenly the fuel gage drops to 'E' the low fuel is on ABS light on, red brake light on, dynamic lights both on, seatbelt on,temp indicator changing constantly blue/ red. Car runs fine! Any

When all the lights come on is the engine still running?

Any IDEAS? The page quit before I was done! This car runs just fine... unless you saw these lights, you'd never know there was a problem. Also, there are no illumination lights in the cluster, the heater controls & radio illumination is fine, This all happened at the same time. Have been checking fuses and connections everywhere, finding nothing yet. Any ideas would be fantastic.

First rule out battery and alternator. To easily test alternator just run the car for an hour at idle with all electrical items on max and see if the battery dies. Or simply measure the alternator voltage output, as it should be in the 13.8-14.8v range. If only 12.5v then its internal voltage regulator has an open circuit. Just replace with a decent remanufactured one; they're cheap. If BOTH battery and alt are ok we have to think a bit more, including checking for rodents having eaten into harness wires....
