I have a 2009 Jetta TDI, manual shift. I'm teaching 2 teens to drive. With the constant stalling from learning the clutch control, will this cause my O2 sensor to trigger a malfunction?

I don't see how it would. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but, I say no.

I don't think it would either but it's not helping. The mixture would be on the rich side and the O2 sensor would try to thin it out. Did you get a CEL (check engine light)?

We have a 2010 Jetta TDI manual and after 1 driving session with my teenager, the engine light did come on. In fact when we took it in to service, they had to replace O2 sensor to the tune of $600.00.
you also need to budget in a new clutch!! -- after my two teens learned to drive my TDI beetle I had to lay down $1000 just for the PARTS for mine !!
