I have a 2005 Ford Explorer, the 7.5 amp mini
fuse for #26 under dash; reverse park aid,
brake shift interlock, IVD switch keeps
blowing preventing me from putting vehicle in
gear. What would cause this fuse to continue
to blow. Third time in 2 months

Sounds like you have an intermittent short somewhere in that circuit like a wire that has gotten chafed and is shorting to the chassis. Doesn't short all the time but......... Trouble shooting the circuit by tracing it from the fuse panel out may locate it but this is very time consuming and will not guarantee you will find it if it is only present part of the time. You may want to seek professional advice.
