4 cyl diesel

Most major car manufactures do, but you won't see all of them in the US. Even Chevy, Ford and Chrysler make them for/in foreign markets.

That's correct and I heard that in Europe, where fuel is so expensive they like diesel cars because they get 40-50MPG. More efficient due to higher compression. But in the USA they price diesel fuel higher than gas and that cancels any gains.The VW Golf diesel is so popular in Europe that it is considered one of the most common cars in the world. Even the previous Pope had one but it may have been gas powered if he was smart. I personally avoid diesels because they are complicated, expensive, and do poorly in cold climates. I worked on diesel trucks and now they have a lot of pollution gadgets that can fail and shut you down. But this new technology makes them cleaner and they have lots of torque.
