2010 Sentra burning oil

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi there
I purchased a used 2010 Sentra almost 3 years ago. I do a lot of driving and in the last 3 months have had to add at least 2 liters of oil before the scheduled oil change. The mechanics that have looked at the car on the hoist said there do not seem to be any leaks. Does that mean it is burning the oil? What are some recommended fixes for this? Thanks

Hi there There is about 119000 kms on the car and I take very good care of it. No blue smoke or anything, and no change in performance. I can ask my mechanic to check those things out as I have no idea what they are :)
I also have a Nissan Sentra 2012 with about 98,000 miles on it. I bought it used and in very good condition, I do a lot of driving and I always have to add more oil before the scheduled date. Im positive it burns the oil, maybe a manufacturer issue?
AjBodden --- if you are adding a quart or less between oil changes I would not worry too much about it. I don't know how often you change oil but I would do it every 5,000 miles.
Hi, I have same issue i buy Nissan Sentra 2010 used with 125,000 KM on it. After drive 3000 KM on "5W-30 Conventional Mobil1" the engine oil level decrease by 1/4 from the full. Note:There are no oil burn smoke (Blue smoke) and leakage in the engine.
Please guide me can switch to 5W-30 Synthetic oil from conventional. Car runs 128,000 KM on the conventional oil so its save to switch it towards synthetic one?
