How to change an Indicator rear bulb

This video is generic, not specific to your Golf but may be helpful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfdAGR7GNyM Usually in most any newer car the bulbs are accessed by opening the trunk and pulling away the liner/cover, sometimes there is an access hole there so you don't even have to do that. The bulb socket/holder should unclip from the assembly and the bulb may pull straight our or need a partial turn. Most cases no tools are needed.
