Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Okay, it is a 1987 BMW 325e. I am not getting any spark. I have checked the ignition coil "Ohm's are all in spec." I have another coil also that I have tryed. I have checked the reference sensor also. This is my first BMW, so any help on this matter would be a life saver. Thanks

Try replacing the main relay in the engine compartment. I believe it's the silver one in the photo. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads12/relays1198364747.jpg?iact=hc&vpx=854&vpy=142&dur=5070&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=139&ty=98&sig=114612478850277802426&ei=mD7FTt7tBaf-iQLotdnUBQ&page=1&tbnh=119&tbnw=159&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:0 Or you can remove it, take off the cover (off the relay) and clean the contacts inside. Then try it.
here's another photo. if you still have the black cover, the 3 relays will be under that http://blog.bavauto.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/RelaysECU-Fuel-E30E28-6001.jpg?iact=hc&vpx=170&vpy=142&dur=501&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=130&ty=87&sig=114612478850277802426&ei=mD7FTt7tBaf-iQLotdnUBQ&page=1&tbnh=119&tbnw=159&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0
Thank you Matt. I got spark now it was the ignition coil. I broke down and got one after everything I checked came out of. The new issue I am having is, It is not getting enough fuel or is getting to much. It is just turning over but not cranking, I am getting fuel to the fuel rail, but I can hear the pump staying on. A few cyl fire off but not enough to keep it running. I can smell gas after about 3-4 times of trying. thanks again.
Fuel regulator possibly. Check pressure at rail.
