Overheating

Asked by Joe Rip Sep 09, 2017 at 10:05 PM about the 2003 BMW 3 Series 325i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Temp Gage's is reading hot while sitting at alight or
n a drive through but goes back down when I start
driving and make my air blow hot..today I was
driving and it went right to the red and stoped but
once I pulled over and poped the hood the engine
wasn't hot to the point were the gage is at 200 what
could this be

Just changed thermostat and the clutch on the cooling fan so hopefully it the connection
