I have a 2007 BMW 351i and I'm charging the battery. It was pulling 8 amps at the beginning and is still pulling 8 amps after 2 hours of charging. Why is that? Shouldn't the charge be tapering off?

sounds like a dead cell. each cell is 2v with 6 cells total for 12v battery. if you ran a quality charger and the battery didn't recondition (take a full charge) then you likely have a dead cell. you can DIY the battery change, if you're a DIY/handy person. there are battery choices in the market (AGM, or lead acid) and they have different prices. A quality battery will last years. A cheap one will last fewer years. Choose wisely.
