04 Deville shaking, after new tires, balanced, and front end aligned.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Deville, and it continues to shake at 70-74MPH.  I have put 4
brand new tires on it, had the front end aligned, and made sure all tires were
balanced.  Any ideas on what else could be causing this?

You have done the right things with the new tires, balancing, and alignment but you did not mention the condition of the front suspension. If there are worn out parts like struts or rods the result may be an unstable platform no matter what you have done with the tires. I would first go back to the tire dealer and see if they can double check their work. Sometimes a balance weight can spin off within the first hundred miles of driving. If nothing is found, have them give your front suspension a good going over.

Had suspension checked a month ago, told it was fine. The tires have less than 250 miles on them, but I did have the shop that did the alignment recheck balance when they did it. I bought the tires from another shop. Next, I guess, is to have the motor mounts checked. Car only has 105K on it.
