no my son lost the key had to order a new one now it will not shift either will start with the key in gear but will not shift to reverse cannot get the key out after making it home the mechanic told me the key was fine to come get the car could not get into reverse had to drive forward to get home
wow...you need a locksmith....perhaps the dealer has dealt with this a hundred times as yours could not be the first time this has happened~ you have a "valet's key?" ...my mini key got laundered and does not work properly, yet there ain't a darned soul who knows how I can get a replacement transponder key....so tell ya, these "invisible" communications seem dodgy at best~ that's just one man's opinion~ we are trusting what we cannot see~ that is ugly business in my opinion!~
