Why is my stereo stuck on WAITING status?

Stereo worked when I first got it and just recently, I got in and notice it displayed waiting
on the screen. Yet, there's no reason to be waiting! No matter what I press, it's
frozen/stuck. I hope there's an easy solution to this. I am thinking the dealership caused
it.

yes...the device(s) connected to it are NOT connected...the RCA plugs are unplugged or have no source that your stereo module can see----give it a bone to chew on...check your devices~
nothing has been tampered with, as far as the stock stereo system is concerned. Makes sense though, your suggestion but, yeah, I doubt it was unplugged itself. I will have to check into it then. I highly doubt it's that, I think it's just the stereo head unit itself.

...always seems to be system ground is at fault~ double check the 1/0awg Black cable that attaches to the ground/chassis...unbolt and wirebrush this clean as it tends to build a layer of corrosion with each start~
thank you will check and keep you updated. I am still having trouble finding the amp fuse.
