Have a 2011 Ford Escape limited. The anti theft is what I'm having trouble with. Have two sets of keys. Other day my son took my vehicle to the city and anti theft came on. I went with other set of keys and still wouldn't turn on vehicle. I lifted the hood and it started. Now that's it home it's in the anti theft and won't let me start it. Tried removing positive to reset and nothing. Dealership said leave off for 15 mins to reset and nothing. Any suggestions?

Well it started before when you lifted hood. Did you try that again? could be a bad hood latch,it is part of the security.

As soon as I lifted hood it started. Yes tried that right away since it worked the first time. Good idea about the latch thanks will try that and let you know.
Thanks so much!! It was exactly what it was. The release cable for hood latch wasn't going into closed position. Thanks again!
